On the 30th of October 2011, arvato systems China participated  in the “Resourcefulness in Times of Need – Discover Xuhui”: Youth Association Welfare Sports Games for the 2011 Xuhui Youth Festival, jointly sponsored by the Xuhui District Committee of the Communist Youth League of China and the Shanghai Youth Family Folk Organization Service Center. The games took the form of team-based competitions, with the twin aims of giving youth more in-depth knowledge of Xuhui’s history and culture, as well as promoting walking as one of the means to a low-carbon way of life.

During the competition, arvato systems’ two participants showed great perseverance and teamwork, explaining the importance of carbon control and environmental protection to passersby within their designated area and allotted time, collecting a large number of signatures supporting environmental protection. Ultimately, they gained second place, finishing ahead of, more notably, City Group Ltd., the Xuhui District Housing Authority, and the Xuhui District Administration for Industry and Commerce, as well as over 300 young participants from many other companies, and 8 different youth and sports organizations.

arvato systems has a long history of advocating low-carbon awareness, and actively encourages its employees to participate in community events. We hope that in the future even more of our employees will participate in events such as this one, making and active contribution to society.
